Who's Your Counsellor?
Thank you for visiting my website. I look forward to working with you to facilitate your journey of self exploration to end confusion and distress.
My name is Ola, and I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors under #15785. Registration ensures that you work with a certified clinician bound by the Professional BCACC Code of Ethics. Throughout the past two decades, I have gained extensive Canadian and international experience working with adults, adolescents, children, couples, and families in clinical counselling, education, and case management. I combine my skill set, and academic background of Clinical Psychology, education, and management to provide my clients with support and empowerment. I have an authentic passion to walk with you along the path of healing.
For many years I have had the privilege of working with multicultural and diverse clients providing them with the required assessments, and resources to support their transition into fully functioning individuals. I practice from an enriched cultural anti-oppression perspective to turn your challenges into opportunities. I hold a Masters of Art in Clinical Psychology MACP, and and Masters of Education, Human Rights and Development Studies.
In addition to my private counselling practice I serve in a leadership role at a non-profit organization, providing my expertise in family preservation and re-unification programming, as well as trauma-informed practice.
I supervise clinical counsellors, paraprofessionals and non-clinical workers. I believe in the importance of the role they play in their clients' progress. As a supervisor and trainer, I incorporate evidence based content and engaging approach that stimulates learning and growth.
