Jade stone signifies healing, courage during hardships and abundance. My hope to you is a life full of balance and wellness. Jade Counselling is depth oriented and relational clinical practice that is built on evidence based neurobiology, and polyvagal theory research. Our experiential model seeks to alleviate clients’ psychological suffering by helping them process the overwhelming emotions associated with trauma, unresolved issues, and unmet needs. Clinical supervision Supervision services are available for interns and registered counsellors. Our approach follows a systems approach where I focus on providing direction and education to my supervisees as per their needs and clinical progress. My approach entails recognizing that clinical work takes place within a larger system where we will be focusing on understanding the factors making up the system and the dynamics through the systems as a whole and explore their impact on the supervisee’s clinical practice, identify patterns of interaction, and consider alternative interventions that address systemic factors. Supervision services can be booked on a weekly, bi-weekly or monthly basis. Consultations and Professional Development Services I provide consultation services and professional development trainings to individual counsellors, groups and community agencies in areas of multicultural inclusivity and agility, family counselling, trauma therapy, and workplace burnout. |

Professional Training
- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR): an integrative psychotherapy approach that has been extensively researched and proven effective for the treatment of trauma and many other mental health issues and psychological stress.
- AEDP (Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy): provides experiential opportunities for healing and transformation, undoing of aloneness and the establishment of a safe and secure therapeutic relationship.
- Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT): emotion regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness and interpersonal skills.
- Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT): enhance relationships and attachment styles (individuals, couples, families).
- Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS): identify and heal painful emotions such as anger and shame and restore mental balance and harmony (treatment of depression, anxiety, phobias, panic, and physical health conditions).
- Satir transformational therapy: the basic principles for making contact and communicating with others through inviting arranging environment, maximizing communication and understanding, and follow through.
-Acceptance and Commitment therapy ACT. This is a form of behavioral therapy that combines mindfulness skills with the practice of self-acceptance and commitment to facing the problem head-on rather than avoiding your stresses.
- Somatic Experiencing: body-based therapy, integrating the latest neuroscience research to transform traumatic memories into strengths and resources, to resolve developmental trauma, PTSD, sexual trauma, violence and abuse.
